Every Place Your Foot Touches

"For if you are careful to keep all of this commandment which I am commanding you to do, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and cling to Him, then the Lord will dispossess all these nations from you, and you will dispossess nations greater and mightier than you. Every place on which the sole of your foot steps shall be yours; your border will be from the wilderness to Lebanon, and from the river, the river Euphrates, as far as the western sea. No one will be able to stand against you; the Lord your God will instill the dread of you and the fear of you in all the land on which you set foot, just as He has spoken to you."
- Deuteronomy 11:22-25

Continuing into Deuteronomy 11 because it’s just so beautiful, I ask myself, how often are we walking in this promise? I read the parts in bold and felt so empowered.

EVERY PLACE your foot touches will be yours.
NO ONE shall be able to stand against you.
No enemy, no trial, no scheme satan tries to put upon you.
Every promise, every good, every beautiful thing life is yours.

Even when we are walking in a dry land, even when we don’t know how we will get through another day or another trial, we have this powerful promise to hold onto. It should empower you, it should strengthen you, it should encourage you to continue on because there’s one thing God is not, and that is a liar. He has promised you something, only you know what that promise is in your heart, hold onto that promise and don’t let it go, don’t waver during the dry land but focus on the promise that every place your foot touches shall be yours and no one shall be able to stand against you.

You have a great big God on your side and when He promises, He delivers.
